Custom Pool and Outdoor Living Construction in Alva, FL

At Olde Florida Contracting, we’re transforming this property into a true Southwest Florida outdoor retreat — complete with a custom pool, travertine deck, elite roof system, and outdoor kitchen. From start to finish, our team is managing every phase of construction with precision, quality, and attention to detail.

Site Preparation

Before construction begins, our crew had to handle all necessary preparation, including:

Sprinkler System Adjustments – Relocating or repairing existing irrigation heads as needed.
Concrete Removal – Safely removing approximately 590 square feet of existing concrete where the new pool and elite room will be installed. This included the slab between the house and garage, concrete steps at the southwest corner, and saw-cutting for pool plumbing.
Tree Removal – Clearing palm trees and palmettos near the pool area, including complete root removal and debris disposal.

Custom Pool & Travertine Deck

The centerpiece of this project was a 14′ x 28′ custom swimming pool, engineered and built to the highest standards:

6” thick pool structure with full steel reinforcement
6×6 glass tile waterline and aqua blue pool plaster finish
Sun shelf with built-in steps
Travertine coping and Tayla Gray travertine decking
1 LED pool light and Pentair saltwater system, including variable-speed pump, inline chlorinator, and 150 SF filter

Elite Roof Installation

To complete the outdoor living space, we installed a 30′ x 18′ Elite Roof System with two fan beams, engineered for strength and weather resistance. Features include:

7″ gutter system integrated into the garage connection
Electrical setup for ceiling fans and lighting within fan beams

Outdoor Kitchen

A custom 7′ x 7′ L-shaped outdoor kitchen was built using a durable aluminum frame, cement board walls, and stone or tile finishes per final selections. Highlights include:
